Public Safety and Emergency Services
Ottawa Police Services follow an Evidence Based Policing model which means that one of their main deployment strategies is based on reports made by witnesses, since these can help track the day, time of day and frequency of the violations and best determine when to deploy officers to the area.
Residents who have a concern regarding speeding or general mischief are strongly encouraged to file reports with as many details as possible.

Government Services - Elected Officials
City of Ottawa Councillor – Ward 20 vacant
Osgoode ward residents will head to the polls on June 16 to choose their next city councillor.
The rural south Ottawa ward’s council seat was declared vacant after George Darouze, was elected last month as a Progressive Conservative MPP for the riding of Carleton.
Advance voting day is June 6.
Two of the ward’s neighbouring councillors, Catherine Kitts and David Brown, have been handling responsibilities for Osgoode’s residents while the seat is vacant.
Message from the Ward 20 Office:
Given the recent vacancy of the Ward 20 Councillor position at Ottawa City Council, the Ward 20 Team would like to remind residents that we remain here to assist as usual during this interim period. Residents can send emails to [email protected] or call 613-580-2490 for any municipal questions or concerns that they may have.
If the matter is something that requires Councillor concurrence or awareness, our office would be happy to forward any of these matters to either Councillor David Brown or Councillor Catherine Kitts for their awareness and follow up.
As our office no longer has access to social media or a newsletter, Councillors Kitts and Brown have kindly offered to include Ward 20 updates in theirs. Since their newsletters go out on alternating weeks, we encourage you to subscribe to both to stay informed:
